Shaped by a life of service to Christ’s Church, Fr. Christopher has dedicated himself to using all the tools God has placed at his disposal to spread the light of Orthodoxy across America. As Founding Father and host of the Orthodox Christian Network (OCN) and the “Come Receive The Light” national Orthodox Christian radio program, he shepherds a dynamic and rapidly expanding ministry bringing joy, hope, and salvation in Jesus Christ to millions of listeners on Internet and land-based radio around the world in more than 130 countries. Fr. Christopher lives in Brookline, MA and is the President of Hellenic College Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology.
“I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13 is quote beloved by many people. Listen as Fr. Chris and Fr. Stavros Akrotirianakis, of St. John Greek Orthodox Church in Tampa, FL, talk about the value of positive thinking in moving us toward happiness or, better yet, fulfillment. We each possess the power to change our perception of any situation, and Fr. Stavros offers personal insight and inspiration to be the best “You” possible.
But first, in loving memory of Fr. William Chiganos, who recently fell asleep in the Lord, we have an excerpt from a sermon Fr. William gave in 2009 on the Rich Young Ruler’s question to Christ regarding salvation. It wasn’t the answer the young man was expecting, but it is still true today. For the full sermon, go to “Orthodoxy Explained: It’s About Personal Relationships.”
