Bill Marianes has dedicated a significant portion of the last 35 years, and every available weekend for the last 5 years, to traveling over 150,000 miles throughout the United States to work with individual church communities, clergy, and faithful to better understand and implement true stewardship in their Parishes and lives. He delivers extensive stewardship content for Parishes and individuals through his website and blog at www.stewardshipcalling.com and his Igniting The Flame Of True Christian Stewardship program. Bill is an Archon of the Ecumenical Patriarch and has served the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese and Atlanta Metropolis Councils for many years. By day, he is a partner in the Atlanta office of a 900+ lawyer international law firm and practices in the areas of corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, intellectual property, business succession planning, and church matters. By calling, he is a stewardship evangelist and can be reached at either Bill@stewardshipcalling.com or firstname.lastname@example.org.
In this episode, Bill shares a Christmas gift with his listeners. Rather, he shows all of us how to give a Christmas gift to those around us, when we truly discover what particular ways God wants us to better live our stewardship callings. Bill focuses on Holy Scripture and the message that “without mirrors, we often get pronouns all wrong.” The deepest reality of the Incarnation is that the Logos, born in the person of Jesus, was part of the “we” God uses when He says, “Let us make man in our Image.” This calls all of us to set aside judgement of others, look in the mirror, and search our own souls for what God has given us to do in service. We are called to make every day Christmas Day and make a difference in the world.
