On Earth as it is in Heaven: Interviews, Part 2

In this video, Fr. Christopher Metropulos interviews Fr. Christopher Bender, the chair of the steering committee for the Fellowship of the Transfiguration Conference. Fr. Bender explains the meaning of this year’s title “On Earth as it is in Heaven,” and how Orthodox theology should lead to the “greening of the Orthodox parish.”

Fr. Christopher Metropulos interviews two speakers about an Orthodox view of ecology at the conference. Martha (a student at St. Vladimir’s) addressed the conference on the topic of student activism, describing her role in the St. Herman Society for Orthodox Ecology.  Danielle (a student at Holy Cross) addressed the conference on the topic of incorporating Orthodoxy into the understanding of the Human Person and our relationship to Creation.

Dr. James Hansen, a retired official from NASA, is a noted climatologist. He delivered one of the keynote addresses at the conference. Fr. Christopher Metropulos interviews him at the conference on issues such as global warming and the effect of fossil fuels.
