On Earth as it is in Heaven: Interviews

“On Earth as it is in Heaven, Putting Orthodox Theology and Ecology into Practice” is a conference hosted by The Orthodox Fellowship of the Transfiguration that was held in Washington, DC.  OCN’s Fr. Christopher Metropulos attended the event, and below you can see his interviews with notable guests, including Keynote Speaker His Eminence Archbishop Demetrios.

In this video, Fr. Christopher Metropulos interviews His Eminence Archbishop Demetrios of America, primate of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America. His Eminence was one of the keynote speakers at the conference and describes in this interview the moral and spiritual challenges of Global Climate Change.

In this video, Fr. Christopher Metropulos interviews Fred Krueger, executive director of the Orthodox Fellowship of the Transfiguration.  Mr. Krueger describes how Orthodox theology informs an ecological attitude toward preserving the environment.

Dr. Lise Van Susteren is an environmental activist and psychiatrist in Washington DC. She addressed the conference on the topic “The Psychological Impacts of Climate Change.” Here, Fr. Chris interviews her for a preview of her talk.
