Parenting and How Kids Think
Dr. Philip Mamalakis, the assistant professor of Pastoral Care at Hellenic College Holy Cross, speaks with our host Fr. Chris Metropulos on the nuances of parenting through the Orthodox lens and his new book Parenting Toward the Kingdom: Orthodox Christian Principles of Child-Rearing.
Are we parenting with the end in mind, or the moment? Do we respond or react? Did we know they were establishing the skills for their future spiritual battles? Listen as Dr. Philip discusses these differences and more.
But first, listen as Fr. Chris speaks with child genius, William Maillis, the third child of Fr. Panteleimon Ilias Maillis and Presvytera Nancy. He graduated high school at 9 years old and currently attending college with hopes of proving God’s existence through science.
