Peace, Faith, and War

Why is peace so important to us, as human beings? The world around us is full of war, disaster, hatred, and struggle. Our own inner world can be scarred by sadness and anxiety. Yet no matter how hard it is to find, we keep seeking peace. Why? And where can we find it?

Jesus stood out among His contemporaries in part because of His teachings about peace, which were unusual in a world where military and physical power were often the only guarantees of safety. Listen in as Fr. Hildo Bos, co-editor of For the Peace from Above, shares what early Christians wrote about peace, faith, and war. Fr. Hildo is a priest at the St. Nicholas of Myra Russian Orthodox Church in Amsterdam.
