The 15th Children’s Medical Fund Luncheon is being hosted by the Metropolis of Boston Philoptochos and will take place in Boston, MA on October 31, 2015 at the Renaissance Boston Waterfront Hotel.  Under the high patronage of His Eminence Archbishop Demetrios of America and His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios of Boston, the National Philoptochos Society presents ‘Let Us Rejoice and Embrace the Children’.

During the luncheon, grants will be awarded to hospitals, universities and programs that benefit children throughout the Metropolis of Boston in Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, Rhode Island and parts of Connecticut.  The remaining funds will be distributed to programs throughout the United States at the 2016 National Philoptochos Biennial Convention. Since its inception in 1989, the Children’s Medical Fund has distributed close to $3 million in grants across the United States.

The Mistress of Ceremonies is Maria Stephanos, News Anchor, WFXT-TV FOX 25 in Boston.  The Honoree of the luncheon is Rosemary Nikas, the 2013 Luncheon Chair.

Since its establishment in 1989, the Children’s Medical Fund has sought to provide medical assistance to critically ill Greek, Greek American and Orthodox children, whose families are unable to afford appropriate and necessary medical treatment. The Fund also provides grants for innovative research programs to pediatric hospitals throughout the United States and to organizations with special programs that care for children with critical and life threatening illnesses.
