This Sunday, January 18, marks the beginning of our Share the Light Sunday Campaign for 2015.

Are you planning to hold an event in your parish? Please consider doing so at any point in the next few months. You can find out more information on our Share the Light Sunday resource page.

I particularly encourage you to read and distribute the Share the Light Sunday Encyclical, written by His Grace Bishop Peter, the Assembly of Bishops’ Liason to OCN, and me.

You can also listen to it by clicking the play button below. In the words of the Encyclical:

The start of a New Year is a time to dedicate ourselves to positive change. Today, as we celebrate “Share the Light Sunday,” we invite you to learn more about and support the ministry of the Orthodox Christian Network (OCN). Its mission is to inspire, inform, and bring comfort to Orthodox Christians and seekers worldwide, complementing the work of local parishes and strengthening the Church in the digital age. OCN produces a wide variety of multimedia resources and reaches millions per month through its website, three Internet radio stations, podcasts, live video broadcasts, and extremely popular social media platforms.

As the media arm of the Assembly of Canonical Orthodox Bishops of the United States of America, OCN has been sharing Christ’s good news with the world for nearly 20 years. Now is the time to stand with this media ministry and make it even stronger.

Thank you for participating in this ministry, as a listener, viewer, or reader; and thank you for spreading the word about Share the Light Sunday. Together, we can strengthen the Church in the digital age.
