Suffering, Upheaval, and Strife in Syria

Suffering, Upheaval, and Strife in Syria

In this episode, Fr. Christopher Metropulos speaks with Mark Ohanian, who has just returned from Syria with a report on the horrific situation Orthodox Christians in that country are facing. Mr. Ohanian is the Director of Programs for International Orthodox Christian Charities; he describes the work that IOCC, in partnership with the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Antioch, is doing to provide direct aid to people suffering from the upheaval of the continuing strife in Syria. Mr. Ohanian describes the situation in Syria and Iraq, under attack from ISIS, as “madness.” The situation there is certainly the world’s largest humanitarian crisis at the present time. Listeners are invited to hear the full extent of the need and respond with Christian Charity.
