St. Vladimir’s embraces the challenge of serving the Church and the needs of Orthodox Christians in the 21st Century. Time brings change but the Truth of the Gospel is eternally unchanging; adjustments must be made to engage a rapidly changing world, but without sacrificing that which is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
St. Vladimir’s will once again participate in #GivingTuesday on December 1. #GivingTuesday is a national day to celebrate philanthropy.
Giving is at the very foundation of St. Vladimir’s mission, so we’ll be tithing 10% of whatever we raise on #GivingTuesday again this year. Last year, a tithe of $8,000 supported our suffering brothers and sisters in the Middle East. This year’s recipient? Our sister seminary across the globe: Makarios III Patriarchal Seminary in Nairobi, Kenya. This center of Orthodoxy in Africa is in great need of books for their library, and we want to help.
