Religious Freedom is the most cherished Human Right in America, as codified in Article 1 of our Constitution.
At a lecture delivered on 21 February 2017 at St. Katherine Greek Orthodox Church in Naples, FL, Dr. George Demacopoulos, powerfully argues, that the ethical, philosophical, and theological roots of this freedom in fact emanate from Hellenism and Early Orthodoxy. He carefully weaves through Plato and Aristotle, Alexander the Great, Constantine the Great, Justinian and more, to connect the road travelled by Enlightenment philosophers in the late 18th century, among them being Thomas Jefferson and Benjamin Franklin, to the concept of Religious Liberty!
