“The secret of man’s being is not only to live but to have something to live for.”   Dostoevsky wrote these words at a different time, but they are still very relevant today.   In this week’s edition of Come Receive the Light, we have insightful conversations with two different professors.

Listen as Bryce speaks with Dr. Anton Vrame, Director of the Department of Religious Education for the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese and Associate Professor at Hellenic College Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology, regarding religious education of the Orthodox faith to the whole family.  We know how to teach kids, but do we know how to teach adults?  With life experience and a deep knowledge base, Dr. Vrame explains how adults are taught with the expectation of a practical application.

But first, Fr. Chris speaks with Dr. Elizabeth Blake, Assistant Professor of Russian at St. Louis University, who wrote, Dostoevsky and the Catholic Underground, regarding Dostoevsky feelings for religion and an analysis of nineteenth-century European revolutionary history.

Dostoevsky and the Catholic Underground is available on our OCN AMAZON store.
