“The Wolf of Wall Street” is an Oscar nominee (March 2, 2014) featuring director Martin Scorsese and actor Leonardo DiCaprio. But Wolf’s most dubious honor is already known: Variety reports that it’s the new record holder for over 500 F-words in an R-rated feature. Is there an Oscar for excessive gutter language? Maybe the real life characters this story is based on talk like that, but it’s a sad commentary on American character…and art.
