Women in the Orthodox Church

Is there a place for women in the Orthodox Church? The Orthodox Church remembers the women at the Tomb of Christ on the Second Sunday following our Lord’s Resurrection. Listen as Fr. Chris speaks with Dr. Kyriaki FitzGerald, licensed psychologist and Adjunct Professor at Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology. They discuss the days leading to and following Christ’s glorious resurrection and His relationship with us.

But first, we welcome back Dr. David Ford as he continues his monthly series on the lives of married saints. This month, he features St. Innocent, Bishop of Moscow and Apostle of America and Siberia. Find out how this bishop of the church is listed among the married saints.

And as a special addition, we have Fr. Nikolai Meyer of the St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church in New Hartford, NY, to speak with us about a new website, Crown Them with Glory. It’s a witness to the Orthodox understanding of marriage and a resource regarding the March for Marriage on April 25, 2015.
