St. Tikhon’s Orthodox Theological Seminary is an institution of professional Orthodox Christian theological education, chartered by the Department of Education of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and affiliated with the Orthodox Church in America. In a rural environment conducive to spiritual growth and academic study, the Seminary nurtures the theological vocations of its students and faculty, who share the unique opportunity of learning and teaching Orthodox theology in the framework of their daily experience of a rich heritage of Russian Orthodox spiritual and liturgical tradition.
St. Tikhon’s Seminary Dining Hall will be the setting for the annual Women’s Retreat sponsored by the Department Curriculum and Education of the Diocese of Philadelphia and Eastern PA. The retreat will be held on Saturday, August 22 with topics on “Orthodox Living in the Modern World: Steps to Spiritual Transformation” and “From Illness to Wellness: My Journey with God to a Kidney Transplant.”
The speakers for the retreat will be Archimandrite Sergius (Bowyer), Abbot of St. Tikhon’s Monastery and Carole J. Fair, Award Winning Author and a member of Holy Apostles Mission in Mechanicsburg.
The cost: $10 (which includes lunch) and is open to all ladies 13 years and older.
