“Do you know what day it is?”  This was the question His Grace Bishop Gregory asked the children during Great Vespers.  He was on a pastoral visit to St Nicholas Orthodox Church in Warren, Ohio on September 26, 2015, when he addresses to the faithful in the video above.

Although the young girls thought it was Saturday evening, it was already Sunday according to the Ecclesiastical calendar.  That’s right!  According to the church calendar, the days change with Vespers, and not at midnight.  His Grace explains in his sermon how we honor our Lord’s resurrection with anticipation.
