Does Attendance at Religious summer camp Strengthen the Faith of Teenagers?

Research does reveal a simple correlation between attending religious summer camps and the strength of teenagers’ religious faith.

Nearly 40 percent of U.S. teens ages 13 to 17 have been a camper at least once at a summer camp run by a religious organization with religious teachings or songs in its program, according to researchers with the National Study of Youth and Religion.

In America children go to summer camps.  Did you know that camps in America are attended each year by more than 11 million children and adults.  Summer is near.  OCN’s Team has put together a list of Orthodox Camps in the US by region. If your camp is not listed below please email us at subject line Summer Camp and we will make sure to include it.

We will also be featuring “OrthodoxynSummer” for the summer! Please tag #myOCN @myOCN #OrthodoxynSummer in your photos from your summer camp experience for us to share with the OCN community!
