Shaped by a life of service to Christ’s Church, Fr. Christopher has dedicated himself to using all the tools God has placed at his disposal to spread the light of Orthodoxy across America. As Founding Father and host of the Orthodox Christian Network (OCN) and the “Come Receive The Light” national Orthodox Christian radio program, he shepherds a dynamic and rapidly expanding ministry bringing joy, hope, and salvation in Jesus Christ to millions of listeners on Internet and land-based radio around the world in more than 130 countries. Fr. Christopher is the former President of Hellenic College Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology and Parish Priest of Saint Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
This week on CRTL we have His Grace Bishop THOMAS of the Antiochian Archdiocese of North America serving in the Diocese of Charleston, Oakland and the Mid-Atlantic. He speaks with Fr. Chris on the three educational options for Orthodox families; public school, private school, and homeschool. Bishop THOMAS was awarded a Doctorate in Education from California Coast University and sits on the editorial board of the journal Christian Bioethics, which is published by Oxford University Press.
But first, Fr. Chris speaks with Fr. Thomas FitzGerald. Fr. Thomas is Professor of Church History and Historical Theology, for Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology, and he and his wife, Dr. Kyriake FitzGerald, have devoted their talents to the return of “one holy and apostolic church.” In a new book, A Ministry of Reconciliation, a new publication by the Holy Cross Orthodox Press, is a collection of essays honoring Metropolitan MAXIMOS’ dedication to a unified Church. Metropolitan MAXIMOS is the retired Metropolitan of Pittsburgh.
