Interview with His Eminence Metropolitan Joseph

Interview with His Eminence Metropolitan Joseph

On December 6, His Eminence Metropolitan Joseph was enthroned by Beatitude Patriarch John X of Antioch as the new head of the Antiochian Orthodox Church in North America.

The day before, Fr. Christopher Metropulos, the Executive Director of the Orthodox Christian Network, interviewed Metropolitan Joseph. Watch the video, which is embedded above.

In this interview, His Eminence touches the heart of the ministry he hopes to offer to his people. He describes his identity, his priorities, and his understanding of the needs of the faithful.

His Eminence speaks especially to the young people of the church. He says:

Given my ministry is so vast, and I am a servant – I will serve all the people and all the ages…but the youth is my first priority. I will not spare any time, or any means, or any money in serving them. I know that they need something different than before….I will speak their language. I will do everything I can to speak their language and draw their attention the way they understand it.
