En este episodio de Vengan a Recibir la Luz, los presentadores Padre Aristidis Arizi y Padre David Wooten abordan el tema de la Fiesta de la Exaltación de la Santísima Cruz: ¿Cuál es la historia la Exaltación de la Cruz? ¿Por qué reverencia la Iglesia las santas reliquias, la mayor de las cuales es la misma Cruz? ¿Cómo nos relacionamos hoy en día a la Cruz en nuestras vidas? Dos himnos–El Sinaxis del Viernes Santo, recitado por dos miembros del Coro de la Catedral San Jorge en la Ciudad de México, y el Tropario de la Santa Cruz, cantado por los niños del Hogar Rafael Ayau en la Ciudad de Guatemala–siguen. Finalmente, el Padre Miguel Marcantoni lee las lecturas de la Fiesta de la Exaltación–1 Corintios 1:18-24 y Juan 19:6-11, 13-20, 25-28, 30-35–y escuchamos parte del sermón que Padre David dio el día de la Fiesta de la Exaltación: «Exaltado por la Humillación, para Servir».

David Wooten is a priest in the Orthodox Church in America who has spent over half of his life studying, speaking, teaching, and working in the Spanish language, and has worked in many Spanish-speaking countries. Fr. David believes firmly that in the Orthodox Church, Jesus Christ offers the fullness of His Life to people of every nation. He wants to make information available so that Spanish speakers might also have the chance to encounter Christ and unite with Him in His Church.
