Memory Eternal, Fr. Thomas Hopko

Memory Eternal, Fr. Thomas Hopko

Protopresbyter Thomas Hopko fell asleep in the Lord this afternoon. At 76, Fr. Thomas was a well-known and much loved Orthodox Christian priest, a theologian, speaker, and dean emeritus of St. Vladimir’s Orthodox Theological Seminary in Crestwood, NY.

His final days were spent peacefully at Good Samaritan Hospice in Ellwood City, PA. Matushka Anne, his wife, sat by his side, and his children also came to him. Orthodox faithful around the world prayed for him and shared news of him with each other. He will be missed.
