Prodigal: A Short Film from The Brothers Robinson

Orthodox film-making team The Brothers Robinson have just released a new Orthodox video titled “Prodigal. Made to mark the Sunday of the Prodigal Son, the film shows the parable in a creative visual style.

Last month, the Brothers created “Theophany,” a peaceful meditative video using the Theophany Troparion. This video is a follow-on in a series of films that depict Orthodox writings in new visual ways.

“Prodigal” feels a little like a movie-trailer and uses the Kontakion of the Prodigal Son as its narration, but adding to the end a segment from the Canon of St. Andrew of Crete. The result is a powerful and exciting video that tells the story as you’ve never seen it before.

The Brothers Robinson continue to build an audience. You can see more of their work via their Facebook page.
