An important conference will confront the urgent issue of reaching out to the increasing number of Americans who are not in church. “Speaking to Secular America: How the Church Is Reaching Out to the Non-Religious in Our Society” will be offered on October 28-30 by the Missions Institute of Orthodox Christianity.
“Speaking to Secular America,” the keynote address, will be offered by His Eminence Archbishop Demetrios of America. An outstanding roster of speakers will address topics such as atheism, apathy, outreach, parenting, and demographic trends pressing on today’s church.
The Conference will be held at Hellenic College Holy Cross in conjunction with the inauguration of its 21st president, Very Reverend Christopher T. Metropulos, D. Min. Fr. Christopher’s inaugural address will speak to the college’s sacred mission to reach out to those in need of the Faith.
