Students Now Have Help with Life’s Decisions in Crossroad

High School Juniors and Seniors – Before you decide what to do with your life… Decide what to do with your summer!

Applications are being accepted for the CrossRoad Institute, a ten-day academic program hosted on the beautiful campus of Hellenic College Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology with a focus on exploring Orthodox theology and vocation. But don’t worry! Just because this is an academic program does not mean that you will spend the entire ten days sitting in a classroom being lectured at. Participants will have the opportunity to tour Boston, visit Orthodox parishes from most of the major jurisdictions, experience the daily cycle of worship offered at the Holy Cross chapel, and even pay a visit to the lovely Massachusetts seashore!

CrossRoad is about four important things: getting ready to make the big life decisions that you are beginning to face as you enter college, deepening your connection to our living tradition, ministering to those in need, and building life-long friendships with other Orthodox teens from around the country. There are two sessions for which you can apply. The first takes place from the eighteenth of June through the twenty-eighth, and the second from the fifth through the fifteenth of July.  Applications are being accepted for the CrossRoad Institute until the first of February, 2016, and more information can be found here.

Much like public radio, the Orthodox Christian Network relies on the support of our listeners.  Anonymous donors have issued a $20,000 matching challenge in honor of OCN’s 20th Anniversary! For every $1 you give, $2 will be donated! You can send your gift by direct mail, over the phone, or on our website.

Your gift during our annual End of the Year Appeal will ensure that OCN may continue to offer free, high-quality, theological media.

Be on the lookout for our new mobile app, “Spark”, to be launched in the near future. The app will raise awareness of Christian persecution worldwide and provide you and millions of Orthodox with different ways to act.

Digital Disciple Scholars Program.  The Orthodox Christian Network has established the Digital Disciple Scholars Program on the campus of Hellenic College Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology.  The purpose is to begin training our ministry leaders to use multi-media resources to spread the Gospel.  Students will be trained to promote current issues related to the Orthodox Faith, Christian Persecution, cover Orthodox News and events on campus.
