In this episode of Good News for a Change, Fr. Constantine Lazarakis shares thoughts on the Gospel. We first learn about a woman who has been burdened with an illness her whole life. And then we learn about the death of a child. In each case, contact with Christ brings wholeness. Knowing Christ means turning Sickness into Health, Mourning into Joy, and Death into Life. That does not always mean that miraculous changes will happen in our lives. But more importantly, Jesus has entered our world to bring his Divinity to contact our lives. How do we come into contact with the power of his Divinity? Every Sunday in a very real way we come into direct contact with Christ through his Eucharist. How can we make this gift as efficacious as it should be? The Divine Liturgy tells us how. “In Awe of God, with Faith and Love Draw Near.”
