The Orthodox Church has a history of using iconography to enhance worship. We’ve invited Fr. Elias Villis, the priest of Christ Our Savior Greek Orthodox Church in Rye, NY, to speak with Fr. Chris on the importance of iconography in worship and to kick-off our CRTL Special Series of interviews on iconography. Using their recent iconography project as an example, Fr. Elias describes the benefits of having icons fill the church walls. They also discuss the documentary PISTEVO, The Art of Belief, a movie produced by Michael and Robin Psaros and family.
But first, we have invited Paula Marchman to tell us about a new family retreat in the Metropolis of Atlanta, specifically created for single mothers and their children. This retreat is scheduled for October 16-18, 2015 at the Diakonia Retreat Center in Salem, SC. For more information, click HERE.
