Work Study Scholarship Program at Hellenic College Holy Cross

Interested in Becoming a Digital Disciple?

In the fall of 2015, the Orthodox Christian Network will launch the OCN Media Ministry Lab at Hellenic College Holy Cross in Brookline, MA.  OCN is currently hiring work study positions on campus.  This lab will offer opportunities for students to strengthen Orthodox media ministry in the 21st century and become a digital disciple of OCN.

The OCN Media Ministry Lab provides hands-on media training to Hellenic College Holy Cross students.  The Work Study Scholarship program will need your help expand.  OCN Media Ministry will have multiple stages as it grows.  Students will be trained on how to focus on current issues related to Orthodoxy, Christian Persecution, Iconography, cover Orthodox News, and learn how it relates and effects everyday people.  Our long-term plan is to bring Orthodox media ministry classes and field placement internships to campus.

We encourage students to apply to work study positions which include Communications Assistant, Media Producer, Team Leader/Lab Technician. Click here for job descriptions and application information.   Please include a cover letter and resume.  Please email to inquire.

A large thank you to the OCN Board of Directors

Under the direction of Nick Mavrick, Joanne Mitchell and Charles Lelon for the donation of OCN Media Ministry Lab at Hellenic College Holy Cross.  The staff at OCN and HCHC have teamed up to offer students new jobs that strengthen Orthodox Media Ministry.

The purpose is to train our future ministry leaders to use multi-media resources as another tool in spreading the Gospel.  Students from both the College and Graduate School promote current issues related to the Orthodox Faith, Christian Persecution, and cover Orthodox News and events on campus.  This OCN Digital Disciple Program is part of the Hellenic College Holy Cross (HCHC) Work-Study Program, which allows flexible hours for student work on campus in addition to attending classes.  We have teamed up with other Orthodox Ministries to bring the best of Orthodoxy worldwide.  It operates throughout the school year, and is centered at the OCN Media Ministry Lab.  Communications affects how people feel about our company, programs, and services. It’s something that we take seriously.

Today’s technology can make everything seem possible and has the power to reach across the globe from the small campus of HCHC.  The Digital Disciple Program began as a trains the next generation to use the tools before them, that most interact with on a daily basis.  OCN thanks the sponsors and viewers like you, who continue to assist with the funding for this program.
