Lindsey Mastis was Master of Ceremonies over the weekend for Orthodox Christian Network’s Celebrity Chef Fundraiser! Watch Now on Ch7 as we gathered together in common ground to celebrate the 25th year anniversary of the founding of the Orthodox Christian Network.  We were blessed to sit there on the day of St. Nicholas at the Washington, DC historical Cathedral of Saint Sophia’s. The cornerstone of this church building was laid by the late President Dwight D. Eisenhower and His Eminence Michael, Archbishop of North and South America in 1956.

Food is something that binds us all together. There is no human that can exist without it.  Yes, of course it takes many different forms and tastes but it is necessary for our survival. We gathered upon this common ground and in this sacred season to break bread, enjoy each others company, and put our devices down to allow us to communicate, look into each others eyes and see the creation of God in each of us.

A huge thank you to ABC 7 News – WJLA, Chef Sophia Manatakis, those of who attended the DC event, volunteers, and our sponsors (Saint Sophia Greek Orthodox Cathedral Ministries, Saint George Greek Orthodox Church, The Bottle Shop, Urban Winery, Talia’s Cuzina, DC Greeks, Andreas A.
