INFORMATION GATHERING

The Institute utilizes several methods of tracking website interactions including pages visited, clicked content (e.g., videos watched), event tracking (e.g., registrations, logins), donations made, as well as Institute email engagement statistics. In order to gather this information we utilize some third party tools such as Google Analytics and ActiveCampaign. We also implement our own event tracking and website cookies. Our website cookies are only used to identify members who have logged into our website and for the purposes described below. Further, our cookies will not be used to gather information on any actions taken outside of Orthodox Christian Network websites and email campaigns. Please note that while we sometimes utilize third party tools (e.g., Google Analytics) to track these website interactions, we do NOT share or sell your personally identifiable information (PII) with Google, advertising partners, or any other third party. In regard to Google Analytics we track individual website interactions using a random user identifier which cannot be used to identify you outside of the Institute’s private systems. We utilize this information to measure the effectiveness of our website design, engagement with website content, and to determine how to best serve our members’ educational needs. We may at times use your website actions to determine which Institute classes or resources to recommend to you and personalize your experience.
