Seek First God’s Kingdom
Have you ever done something in the wrong order? Maybe you tried to put your shoes on first, and then your socks. Or
maybe you ate lunch before you washed your hands. Or cooked something in a mixed up way. Sometimes, when we do things out of order, it doesn’t make sense. Sometimes, it doesn’t even work right!
In today’s Gospel reading, our Lord gives us advice for our lives. He tells us not to worry about things like food or drink or clothes. Why not? Because the Gospel tells us, “Your heavenly Father knows you need them all. But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things shall be yours as well.” Our Lord tells us not to worry about these things, because we have to do things in the right order!

SAINT PAUL: THE GREAT APOSTLE
We have all heard of superstars, haven’t we? A superstar is somebody who is super famous, maybe an actor who has been
in a bunch of movies or an athlete who has helped his team win a ton of games. But in our Church we have the right
kind of stars, and these are the saints. We know about these stars because they have done great things for the Christian Church. They are examples to us!
Well, tomorrow we celebrate a real superstar of our church, Saint Paul. We know so much about Saint Paul because he wrote some of the books of the Bible. In the Acts of the Apostles (in the Bible), we hear about how he helped build up the Christian Church.
We celebrate Saints Peter and Paul day on Mon., June 29th (OC: July 12).
