Jesus Wept. He mourned the loss of his friend, and when the time came for His own death, He prayed for the cup to be passed. What matters is what followed: Jesus prayed that His Father’s will should be done. Saying “Thy Will Be Done” is not about understanding or rationalizing the things that happen to us, but about leaning on our relationship with God, knowing that He understands our pain in every way.
