Exciting Field Video Journalist Internship

The Orthodox Christian Network myocn.net is an official agency of the Assembly of Bishops. In a constantly changing media landscape, OCN delivers positive, relevant Orthodox content via multiple delivery platforms, reaching today’s internet users via broadcast, podcast, video, blogging, social media and radio. This 501(c)3 is recognized as a leader in the Orthodox Media field. The ministry has sustained consistent growth over twenty-two years.

We are looking for a few regionally based Field Journalist Interns. What is a Field Journalist?  A Video Journalist that travels to reach the Orthodox Community throughout the United States.  If you’re not into writing, but want to become a journalist than maybe video journalism is for you?  For those not in the know, video journalism is the art of documenting or telling a story using the medium of a video recording and has become popular tool for journalists across the world to record news stories.

This is an exciting opportunity for anyone looking to gain professional field experience. Our regional Journalist interns will be responsible for covering Orthodox events in their designated area. Depending on the event you will grow in your knowledge and showcase your skills with any or all of the following: Live Stream, videos, photos, interviews, social media and post event blog posts.  We are looking for West Coast, Midwest, Northern and Southern Interns.

Duration: May through September with flexible start and end dates.

Hours: As needed. Schedule negotiable.

Compensation: This will be an unpaid internship for those seeking community service hours or College credit. Travel Compensation will be negotiated.
