Christ is Born! In the secular world, the Christmas season is completed with the passing of Christmas day, but for Orthodox Christians, December 25th is just the beginning of the celebration!
Keep the Holiday spirit going with daily activities and acts of service in your home or parish.
DECEMBER 26 : CONTINUE THE CHRISTMAS CELEBRATIONS
Do something festive and enjoy family time together.
DECEMBER 27 (SAINT STEFANOS) : CELEBRATE YOUR CLERGY
Write a letter of gratitude for your clergy. kids can draw a PICTURE as a thank you gift!
DECEMBER 28 : SPREAD THE LIGHT OF CHRIST
Call a friend or relative who lives far away, or a member of your parish you haven’t spoken to in a while, to let them know you’re thinking of them.
DECEMBER 29 : SERVE AT HOME
Offer to help another member of your household with their chores.
DECEMBER 30 : A FRESH START
Ask forgiveness from someone whom you have wronged.
DECEMBER 31 : NEW YEAR TRADITIONS
Bake a Vasilopita, cookies, or other traditional/celebratory treat for the New Year.
JANUARY 1 : START THE YEAR RIGHT
Attend Liturgy and Receive Holy Communion.
JANUARY 2 : BEGIN THE NEW YEAR IN SERVICE
Volunteer your time or resources at an animal shelter, food bank or other community resource.
JANUARY 3: CLEAR SOME SPACE FOR NEW BLESSINGS
Take some time to declutter your space and donate quality items to those in need. Be generous!
JANUARY 4: SPREAD THE WARMTH OF GOD’S LOVE
Donate coats and blankets to a local organization.
JANUARY 5 : PREPARE FOR EPIPHANY
Prepare your home for Epiphany by making holy water bottles, decorating, etc.
JANUARY 6 : EPIPHANY
Attend Church to celebrate Epiphany!
