Fr. Chris Metropulos

Alyssa Kyritsis was born and raised in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania. She is a graduate of the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies and Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology with a Master of Divinity with High Distinction. She has served on the HCHC Alumni Council since 2016 and currently serves on its Executive Board as the Treasurer. She moved to Jacksonville in June 2014 to begin her work as the Pastoral Assistant of St. John the Divine Greek Orthodox Church and served there for 6.5 years before moving back to Canonsburg to be closer to family. Alyssa has served on staff and in leadership roles at Camp Nazareth (Met. of Pittsburgh), the Metropolis of Boston Camp, Ionian Village and St. Stephen’s Summer Camp (Met. of Atlanta) for various summer camps and retreats over the past 13 years. She has been a contributing author for PRAXIS Magazine and the Metropolis of Pittsburgh's Summer Camp Curriculum, interned at both the Metropolis of Pittsburgh and the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese Youth Offices, is a recipient of OCN’s 2017 30 under 30, and served on the Metropolis of Atlanta’s Strategic Planning Committee. In October 2015, she married the love of her life, Nikolas Kyritsis, and they joyfully welcomed their first child, Nicholas, in March 2019.
