Johanna Carter has been the Director of Youth & Young Adult Ministries for the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of San Francisco for the past 8 years. She is thankful to God for guiding her in this ministry while working alongside the youth and young adults of the Metropolis.
Johanna was born and raised in Northern California in the Bay Area, and spent ten years in Southern California where she graduated from California State University, Long Beach in 2006. During her professional career in Long Beach she worked in the wedding, corporate, marketing, sales, and restaurant industries. As a child, she grew up attending the Metropolis of San Francisco Summer Camp at St. Nicholas Ranch & Retreat Center in Dunlap, Ca, and this will mark Johann’s 26th year attending summer camp at St. Nicholas Ranch as a camper, counselor, management team member, and now Director of the camp for the past 8 years. She met her husband while at summer camp, and now they are blessed with a beautiful baby boy. After the last two years of unique virtual camp programs, Johanna looks forward to welcoming everyone back home to St. Nicholas Ranch this coming summer.
