We were all shocked into disbelief that another shooting has taken place in a school that is supposed to be a safe place of learning. Where teachers who have dedicated their lives educate our future leaders.

The shooting in Nashville, TN is a tragic event that has caused fear and concern for many people. During times like this, it can be challenging to maintain a sense of faith and hope. However, choosing to have faith over fear can provide a sense of strength and resilience in difficult times. Faith is not just about religion, but also about believing in something bigger than oneself. It can mean having trust in the goodness of humanity or in the resilience of a community coming together in response to the tragedy. Choosing to have faith in a positive outcome can help to combat the fear that can otherwise grip us in times of crisis.

This doesn’t mean that we should ignore our concerns or the reality of the situation. We should take necessary precautions and work towards tangible solutions to prevent future tragedies. But at the same time, we should also choose not to let fear control us. Instead, we can look towards faith to provide the strength and resilience needed to move forward in the face of adversity.

From all of us at the OCN we express our sincere condolences to the families who lost their precious loved ones and we pray our leaders will be moved to action. May God rest their precious souls. Enough is enough!
