In this episode of Direct & Unapologetic, we talk with Orthodox therapist Paula Marchman (LPC) about grief and loss through an Orthodox Christian lens, focusing on the roles of community, counseling, and faith in the healing process.

Paula shares her own experience with loss, and how her Orthodox Church family gathered around her to offer meaningful support. She also explains how the roles of Priest and Counselor differ and complement each other in guiding grieving Christians through the healing process.

Paula Marchman is a licensed professional counselor and the Managing Director of Family Life Ministry for the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Atlanta. She practices Christian psychotherapy, is a Level 2 Gottman-certified couples therapist, and facilitates the Journey of Marriage premarital seminars.
